JSW Steel, a major blast furnace manufacturer in India, announced that it plans to set up a new greenfield integrated steelmaking plant with an annual production capacity of 13.2 million tons of crude steel in Jagadsinghpur, Odisha.

2,950.31 acres of land are needed for the plant. JSW Steel has obtained the right to use 2,677.8 acres of forest land from the Odisha government. With the obtained non-forest land of 272.51 acres, the company has secured all the land required for the plant.
