According to reports, all the production lines of the US$600 million Wanatiara Persada ferronickel smelter in Indonesia were expected to be officially put into operation by the end of the year.

The ferronickel smelter has four processing facilities. The first production line is currently in use, and the remaining three production lines are expected to be operational in December.

It was estimated that in terms of operations, the smelter can produce 2 million tons of nickel ore per year.
