IG Metall, the largest industrial union of metalworkers in Germany, would like to end the negotiations as soon as possible and enter into a contract with the selected buyer of Thyssenkrupp Elevator Technology.

Thyssenkrupp Elevator Technology would be the biggest private equity deal in Europe in recent 13 years and the deal would play an important role for German conglomerate.

With the deal approaching end, IG Metall now requested that the chosen buyer should guarantee not to sack employees and commit to investment plans and staff involvement. Labor representatives dominating 50% of the supervisory board in Thyssenkrupp, would have met on February 27th to further decision on the deal.
