It is reported that Gerdau Long Steel North America has announced plans to stop producing rebar at its St. Paul, Minn. mill in 2015.

Meanwhile, the company will raise its output of special bar quality steel production capacity to 550,000 tons.

The largest long steel producer in the Americas reported a net income of US$105 million in the third quarter, plunging by 59% compared to the same quarter a year ago.
