It was reported that GAIL India, the largest state-owned natural gas processing and distribution company in India, has announced its plan to expand its pipeline network in the next three years, as Indian government had the plan to have the natural gas to become the priority fuel over the next ten years.

GAIL also indicated that the completion of the pipeline network would help connect the transportation from northern India to the east of India, and the first phase was scheduled to complete in the next three months.

The completion of this pipeline network would also help Oil India and ONGG, major oil and gas producers, to transport with efficiency as GAIL would like to rent its gas transportation by third-party carriers and traders of natural gas. GAIL alleged that this expansion would not only increase its ability to transport natural gas but also elevate its revenue performance through renting.
