According to the announcement by Emirates Global Aluminium (EGA), its affiliate company Guinea Alumina Corporation (GAC) had achieved one-million-ton shipments of bauxite ore since it started bauxite exports in August 2019.

EGA established its mining subsidiary GAC with an investment of around US$1.4 billion and EGA sold GAC’s bauxite ore mainly to Chinese and Indian customers.

EGA was pleased to have great progress in the performance of mine, rail and port facilities and anticipated GAC to have annual production output of 12 million tons of bauxite ore after completing the ramp-up plan on GAC.
