Tajikistan aims for 20% annual growth in primary aluminum output over next 3 years

Tajikistan’s government plans to significantly increase its primary aluminum production, a key export product for the country, over the next three years, with an average annual growth of 20%.

A government forecast projects output to reach 131,000 tons in 2026, a 21.2% increase from 2025's forecast of 108,000 tons. Production is then expected to grow to 157,000 tons in 2027 and 188,000 tons in 2028.

In 2024, 82,200 tons of primary aluminum were produced, a year-on-year increase of 23.3%.
