China Steel Corp (CSC), the largest steelmaker in Taiwan has revoked its previous complaint case against several Asian countries including China.

Therefore, the trade research committee of Taiwan’s Finance Ministry has cancelled a hearing, which was planned for this alleged dumping case on certain steel products.

Last November, CSC lodged an official anti-dumping complaint against the steel plates, cold rolled products and electrical sheets imported from South Korean, Japanese, Chinese and Indian.

However, thee target on Japanese non-grain oriented silicon sheets and Chinese and South Korean cold rolled products have been withdrawn as the import volumes have declined and the prices are no longer very low.

CSC originally alleged dumping margins 34.16% and 30.28% for Chinese and South Korean cold rolled and 17.12% for the Japanese silicon sheets.

However, claim against Indian and South Korean plates with dumping margins 38.35% and 35.89% are possible to go on.
