The Australian based steel producer, PT BlueScope Steel Indonesia, will invest A$113 million to expand its output due to the growing steel demand in Indonesian market.

It is expected that after 1.5 years, the plant’s annual production capacity will jump from 100,000 tons to 300,000 tons in producing colored and zinc and aluminum coated steel.

The decision to enlarge the plant’s capacity is supported by the active domestic house-building activity, which generates the strong demand of steel consumption.

BlueScope Indonesia is the local steel manufacturer to produce colored steel and steel with zinc and aluminum coating. They purchase almost 90 percent raw materials in Indonesia.
