It was reported that Australian Anti-Dumping Commission this week announced to review and start the anti-dumping investigation on the rebar from Taiwan and South Korea, except Taiwanese Power Steel Co., Limited.

As the export price of billet and rebar from Taiwan was relatively higher than those from South East’s market. Hence, Taiwanese electric furnace factory adjusted their sales channel from export to domestic market as recent selling strategy.

According to data from Taiwan Steel & Iron Industries Association, the main export markets of Taiwanese rebar from January to June were South Korea, Australia and then Malaysia.

The customs code of involved products contained 7213.10.00, 7214.20.00, 7227.90.10, 7227.90.90, 7228.30.10, 7228.30.90, 7228.60.10. The duty rate would be levied from 3% to 14.3%.
