According to foreign media reports, ArcelorMittal, the world's largest steel producer, was evaluating infrastructure assets for the sale of Canadian iron ore business to reduce its debt.

The sale of Canadian ArcelorMittal Infrastructure (AMIC) shares would help the company to reduce its net debt from US$9.5 billion to US$$7 billion.

Moreover, the activity might include a railway in Quebec, Canada, for a total of 420 kilometers long.

It was reported that ArcelorMittal was also reviewing its other iron ore assets in Brazil and Liberia recently.
