In response to the Indian government's policy to phase out highly polluting vehicles, Tata Motors Limited opened a new vehicle scrapping facility in Kolkata, strengthening its layout in the vehicle recycling field. The plant is Tata's eighth scrapping facility in India, with an annual processing capacity of 21,000 vehicles.

The new plant, operated by Tata Motors in partnership with Selladale Synergies India Private Limited, can safely dismantle all types of vehicles. With the opening of this facility, Tata's total scrap processing capacity in India has increased to 130,000 vehicles.

Currently, Tata has established similar bases in many places and has gradually established a nationwide recycling network.

As the Indian automotive industry moves towards environmental protection and a circular economy, Tata's move also demonstrates its positive attitude towards corporate sustainable transformation.
