Tata Steel Nederland has enhanced its hot strip mill in IJmuiden with a state-of-the-art sampling line. This innovative addition allows for rapid testing, inspection, and certification of each steel coil, significantly reducing lead times for both new steel grade development and customer deliveries. The investment bolsters Tata Steel's market position in producing thicker, stronger, and more abrasion-resistant steel.

The sampling line can fully automatically sample the entire production spectrum, from normal to ultra-high-strength steel, with steel thicknesses of up to 25 millimeters that can be cut, and ensures top-quality steel for demanding applications such as trucks, cranes, and pipelines.
