According to statistics, Japanese stainless steel output was 270,653 tons in August, decreasing by 11.6 percent compared to last month.

Among them, the output of chrome based stainless steel product was 111,275 tons, chrome-molybdenum based was 19,644 tons, chrome-manganese based was 8,541 tons, chrome-nickel based was 108,439tons, nickel-chrome-molybdenum based was 22,754 tons, and other special steel was 8,085 tons.

The output of chrome based and nickel-based was decreased than last month.

On 31 August, Japanese stainless steel inventories were 170,683 tons, down by 1.1 percent from last month.
