According to the report from Baker Hughes, in the week ending on February 23, 2024, the US’ rotary rig count was up by five units to 626 units. Among them, the number of drilling rigs for natural gas dropped by one unit to 120 units, and that for oil hiked by six units to 503 units. The total number had a year-on-year decline of 127 units.

During the same period, Canada’s rig count fell by three units to 231 units compared to the previous week. Canada’s rig number totally dropped by 13 units from the same period a year ago.
