According to the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), Turkey's hot-rolled coil (HRC) imports totaled around 439,000 tons in March, hiking by nearly 38% compared to the previous month and also rising by 186% from the same month a year ago.
The import value totaled around US$295.4 million, up by 64.2% month on month and 285.4% year on year.

In the first quarter of this year, Turkey’s HRC imports totaled roughly 1.12 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 28%. The import value totaled around US$674 million, up by 73.4% year on year.
