Dragon Steel Corporation (DSC) and Tung Ho Steel Enterprise Corporation both increased their H section steel prices by NT$400/ton for November delivery. The good domestic construction market supported the H section demand in Taiwan.

Recently, the supply of H-beam steel from the two major plants was in short supply, and some downstream distributors have tight inventory.

According to market participants, the return of Taiwanese businessmen and infrastructure construction have driven the domestic construction market.

Due to the good demand and the recent rise in international scrap raw materials, DSC and Tung Ho Steel already increased their H section steel prices in a total of NT$1,800/ton since July.
