According to the report from Baker Hughes, as of the week ended May 29th, the number of US’ drilling rigs totaled 301 units, decreasing by 17 units compared to a week ago. Among them, the number of drilling rig for natural gas decreased by 2 units to 77 units; that for oil fell by 14 units week on week to 222 units. The total number had a year-on-year decline of 683 units.

During the same period, the number of Canadian drilling rigs was down by 1 unit to 20 units compared to the previous week, decreasing by 65 units from the same period a year ago.
