According to reports, Henan Anyang Iron & Steel closed the No.1 converter with an annual output of 600,000 tons.

The other two converters could produce 2.5 million tons of crude steel per year, which were the No.2 and No.3 converters.

Anyang Iron & Steel withdrew its first converter last week. At present, only the third 150-ton converter was in operation recently and could produce 1.7 million tons of crude steel per year.

The three converters had produced a total of 56 million tons of crude steel in the past 46 years. Anyang Iron & Steel would build a new factory and then phase out some old equipment.

The Zhoukou steel project was divided into two phases, with a total target capacity of 10 million tons per year.
