It’s reported that China Steel Corp. (CSC), the largest steelmaker in Taiwan has inked a MoU with the government of Gujarat to set up a INR1, 000 crore electrical steel plant in Dahej.

It’s known that CSC incorporated a subsidiary named China Steel Corp. India Pvt Ltd. for setting up a plant in India.

It’s expected that the production of electrical steel might start from 2014 and the annual production capacity of steel sheet would reach 200,000 tons.

Meanwhile, the investment was also approved in the investment commission, ministry of economic affairs, Taiwan.
