Nippon Steel and Sumitomo Metal,NSSMC has announced that the company to establish a joint venture company, as Nippon Steel and Sumikin Cold Heading Wire Indiana (NSCI) in the United States. The new plant will be able to produce and sale of head cold and forging wire for automotive industry.

NSCI has designed annual wire rod production capacity of 39,000 tons and it is expected to begin the operation in January 2018, this is the 3rd plant of NSSMC.
