Jindal Steel and Power Limited (JSPL), a steel and energy company in India, aimed to increase its annual crude steel production capacity to 12.9 million tons in the fiscal year 2024 ending March 31, 2024, and further to 15.9 million tons by the fiscal year 2025.

Of the expansion plan, the converter capacity will be raised by 3.3 million tons per year by the fiscal year 2024, and the electric arc furnace capacity will be expanded by 3 million tons per year by fiscal 2025, both at the Angul steel plant.

Besides, JSPL also planned to increase its annual production capacity of iron ore pellet to 15 million tons by fiscal 2023 and further to 21 million tons in fiscal 2024.
