The International Iron and Steel Institute will open their new office in China soon. The office in Beijing is expected to be opened in April. The IISI has been looking to open an office in Asian for the past year. They were deciding on the best place to open the office. “The new office in Beijing will be a second centre of excellence for IISI. It will complement the services offered by our Brussels office,” Ian Christmas, secretary general of the IISI said. This office is expected to help the institute grow and increase its presence in the Asian market. IISI’s chief economist, Dr Nae Hee Han will be the head of the new office. (Feb. 7)
