China Steel Corp. (CSC) is going to announce the latest price policy on May 26th.

It’s predicted that CSC might drop the steel prices by NT$1,500~NT$2,000/ton after discussing with downstream buyers. However, the price dip might still not be able to satisfy the downstream buyers.

In fact, downstream buyers ask CSC decrease the prices largely by at least NT$2,000~NT$3,000/ton as they’ve suffered from the loss caused by the weak demand and down steel prices in global market.

However, facing the different points of view, CSC said that the price dip would be limited due to rising production costs in the Q3.
