Asia Minerals Limited (AML), a privately-owned company in Hong Kong expected to become a 20% supplier of manganese to the world’s demand in 2020 by developing a manganese mine in Kalahari in South Africa and building a ferro-alloy plant in Sarawak in Malaysia.

It’s known that the Kudumane Manganese Mine Project, located in Kalahari, South Africa is estimated to have 200 million tons of ore reserves. The ores will be delivered from the Port Elizabeth form the time being and it will be shipped out from Coega in the near future.

Besides, AML expected the construction of the ferro-alloy plant in Sarawak in Malaysia will be completed in April, 2012. Also, it is scheduled to start up in the Q3 of 2012 to reach a full production of 300,000 tons per year by the end of 2014.
