It was reported that Turkey’s Yildirim Group will acquire Albchrome, the largest chrome ore and ferrochrome producer in Albania. Albchrome is part of Balkan Finance Investment Group (Balfin Group).

This acquisition will be completed at the end of January 2022, said Robert Yuksel Yildirim, the President and CEO of Yildirim Group.

The transaction will be an all-cash purchase, without the disclosed transaction amount. The final price will be determined based on Albchrome's existing inventories.

Albchrome has an annual production capacity of 146,000 tons of chrome ore.
