It is reported that Austria’s voestalpine has announced to invest more than €100 million to buy a new continuous casting machine at the plant which will have an annual output of more than 1.2 million tons of slab.

The new investment will create 42 jobs in Austria Linz and the construction is expected to be completed within two years.

According to voestalpine, the new continuous casting machine is designed for single-strand casting and to produce thickness greater than 22.5 cm and width between 80~182cm.
