Due to the largely increased UK scrap price, rebar buyers in the country are preparing to pay higher for orders in January and February
UK steel prices are being expected to rise by as much as ￡45 per ton, though deals have not been concluded substantially so far .

The latest transaction price of UK rebar prices was between ￡350/ton to ￡370/ton for January production, according to market sources.

However, it is also reported that a price of ￡380 to ￡385 per ton is offered for January and February rolling, which is by ￡40 to ￡50 per ton higher than that in December last year.

Affected by the rise of material costs, mills are positive towards the result of their new offers.
