Japanese Tokyo Steel announced to increase its scrap purchasing prices by ￥500/ton for Okayama and Takamatsu work from September 13th.

However, Tokyo Steel kept the scrap purchasing prices flat for other works.

After the adjustment, the scrap purchasing prices at Utsunomiya works were at ￥37,000/ton; those at Okayama works were at ￥36,000/ton; those at Tahara works were at ￥36,500/ton; those at Kyushu works were at ¥36,500/ton; those at Takamatsu steel center were at ￥35,500/ton.
