thyssenkrupp Materials Processing Europe, a subsidiary of the German steel manufacturer thyssenkrupp, has announced plans to invest in the construction of two new production lines and a 2,000-square-meter finished materials warehouse at its Stuttgart site.

While the specific investment amount has not been disclosed, the new developments are set to significantly enhance the company's production capacity.

A state-of-the-art slitting line, provided by German engineering firm Tilgert, will increase the plant's total capacity to 350,000 tons per year, allowing the company to provide a comprehensive processing portfolio in a thickness range from 0.2 mm to 5.0 mm. The slitting line is scheduled to become operational in September 2025.

Additionally, the company plans to install a new high-performance packaging line equipped with automation systems, provided by Italian company Promec, for processing high-weight finished materials. This production line is expected to be installed by spring 2025.
