According to the Thailand Trade statistics in January of this year, Thailand imported 1.498 million tons of coal, an increase of 184,000 tons year on year, an increase of 14% month on month.

The import prices were at US$54.81/ton CIF, fell by 12.5% year on year or US$7.81/ton.

Meanwhile, Thailand imported 1.278 million tons of coal from Indonesia, with average prices were at US$51.92/ton CIF. Those for Australia was 220,000 tons, with average prices were at US$70.23/ton CIF.
