Taiwanese steel pipe mills have gradually adjusted their steel pipe prices for April. This decision followed a recent price increase by Chung Hung Steel, a major steel pipe mill in Taiwan, which raised the prices of three key steel pipe products by NT$500-600 per ton last week.

In addition to the prices of galvanized steel pipes, which have already been hiked, black pipe prices are expected to rise at the beginning of April.

Some steel pipe mills said that the market for steel pipe gradually began to recover in March. In the first half of the month, when China Steel Corporation (CSC) hadn't announced its prices, the price of imported hot-rolled steel was already on the rise.

Meanwhile, the Chinese hot-rolled steel complaint regarding dumping has entered the review stage. The market anticipated the price of CSC’s hot-rolled steel is likely to rise, prompting steel pipe users to make purchases. 

Shipments in March met the expectations of the pipe mills. There is a possibility that steel pipe prices will increase in April based on the current market sentiment.
