Because the price rises from China Steel Corp and Chung Hung Steel in March, Taiwan’s carbon steel pipe mills are adopting different policy for export.

Many of the mills’ orders were fully booked till end of February. The downstream customers pushed pipe mills to release new price. Some mills are increasing US$160/ton for April shipment.

After few days, the April allocations are also almost fully booked. Pipe mills are considering adjusting the price in the following days. Some mills are still holding off offering in order to have more time to observe the market.
