China’s Ansteel has successfully supplied its 4.5 mm-thick, ultra-high-strength 50Mn seamless steel pipes designed for geological applications. This achievement represents a significant technological breakthrough for Ansteel, pushing the boundaries of thin-walled seamless steel pipe manufacturing for geological use.

Overcoming challenges like rapid temperature drops during rolling and difficulties in dimensional precision, Ansteel's large-scale plant and technology center collaborated closely. They developed an innovative micro-alloying and large-tension reducing dual-technology system. This approach solved issues such as insufficient toughness and significant dimensional deviations in thin-walled pipes.

This new product meets market demands for extreme specifications and offers improved performance to withstand high pressure and wear in complex geological environments, supporting advanced exploration projects globally.
