According to the statistics showed that Taiwan’s aluminum screw exports volume fell but value rose while China’s aluminum screw both volume and value decreased in the first three quarters this year. Aluminum screw accounted for 0.07% and 0.3% of Taiwan’s and China’s screws exports respectively.

In the first three quarters, Taiwan exported 878 tons of aluminum screws, down by 3.35%; the exports amounted to US$10.34 million, grew by 12.71%; an average price was at US$11.778/kg, grew by 16.61%. Meanwhile, China’s aluminum screw exports volume, value and average price all fell from January to September this year. Exports volume was 8,690 tons, fell by 6.24%; the exports amounted to US$57.57 million, down by 8.94%; average price decreased by 2.89% at US$6.625/kg.

A trader indicated that although China exported around ten-fold amount than Taiwan, Taiwan’s average price was at US$5.153/kg higher than China.
