On March 7, 2025, South Korea’s Ministry of Economy and Finance announced its decision to impose a provisional anti-dumping (AD) duty on stainless steel plates from China with a duty rate of 21.62%, valid for four months.

The products involved are stainless steel plates with a thickness of 4.75 mm or more and a width of 600 mm or more, classified under HS codes 7219.21.1010, 7219.21.1090, 7219.21.9000, 7219.22.1010, 7219.22.1090, and 7219.22.9000.

However, hot-rolled coil, black plate products produced by hot-rolling stainless steel slabs, and products with a thickness of 8 mm or less and a width less than 2,000 mm under HS codes 7219.22.1010, 7219.22.1090, and 7219.22.9000 are excluded from the product scope subject to this provisional AD measure.
