After acquiring COS Targoviste in March this year, AFV Beltrame Group, one of the largest producers of steel bars and special steels in Europe, started to use the new brand, Donalam, to make recruitment and invest around €100 billion in modernizing the machinery and 80% of the budget will use to purchase new technologies to reduce carbon emissions.

After operating two steel plants in Calarasi and Targoviste, Romania will own a domestic rebar supplier again.

In the first phase, the Donalam Targoviste mill will produce 10,000 tons of rebar every month. As of 2023, rebar production will increase to 30,000 tons every month.

With the completion of this green plant expected by 2024, the rebar and wire rod production from Donalam Targoviste was expected to reach 700,000 to 800,000 tons yearly.
