South Korea’s Posco, the world’s third-biggest steelmaker, said recently that the company will proceed its steel plant project valued US$12 billion in India.

Meanwhile, the steel plant will be located in India’s Orissa state.

The project was initiated in 2005; however, the company was forced to postpone the construction owing to unobtainable mining rights and land controversy against local farmers.

The company said that they will continue pursuing the steel mill construction despite of the difficulty.
