Global Ferronickel Holdings Inc., the Philippines ' second-largest producer of nickel ore, expects nickel ore shipments will reach 6 million wet tons target this year.

As end of June 27th, Platinum Group Metals Corp, a subsidiary of the Global Ferronickel Holdings Inc. announced its nickel ore shipments accumulated up to 1.746 million wet tons.

The company's president, Dante R. Bravo, said the success of the increase was attributable to the progress of mining permits and the additional supply of Palawan mining areas in the northern Soviet province.
