According to statistics from the National Institute of Statistics and Geography of Mexico (INEGI), Mexico’s iron ore production totaled around 702,000 tons in July, falling by 10.8% compared to the previous month and rising by 9.3% from the same month a year ago.

The output of iron ore pellets was nearly 550,000 tons in July, a month-on-month increase of 6.5% and a year-on-year drop of 2.6%.

In the first seven months of this year, Mexico’s iron ore production amounted to nearly 5.12 million tons, down by 9.7% year on year. Iron ore pellet production during the period amounted to nearly 3.7 million tons, sliding by 6% year on year.
