According to Metinvest-SMC, the trading department of Metinvest, due to the war with Russia, Ukraine may demand about 3.5 million tons of steel to repair or rebuild houses and social infrastructures for the country.

In September, the crude steel production of Ukraine reduced to 558,000 tons, decreasing by 3.4% compared to the previous month but increasing by 64% year on year. During the first nine months, the total steel production of Ukraine was about 4.6 million tons, decreasing by 17% from the same period a year ago.
