It was reported that JSW Steel planned to invest lots of money to expand the annual capacity of Vijayanagar plant to 18 million tons.The plant at Vijayanagar was the largest single location steel manufacturing facility in India.

JSW Steel was a part of JSW Group. In addition, the Dolvi plant will be expanded from 5 million tons to 10 million tons by March 2020.

In addition to the downstream facilities, JSW Steel will invest around 43,000 crore rupees for the expansions in the next 3 years. The timeline for expansion was based on the acquisitions.
