Reportedly, traders indicated that the aluminum premium for shipment to Japan for next Q1 have been dealt at US$112~US$113/ton, lower than US$116~US$118/ton in previous quarter.

Meanwhile, the reduced prices have reflected the current weak demand for aluminum in Japan’s market.

Moreover, as Japan’s demand for aluminum is uncertain in domestic market, the contracts of aluminum premium in 2010 have declined about 13%.
