Formosa 1, an offshore wind farm near Miaoli in the west coast of Taiwan, is the first commercial- offshore wind project in Taiwan.

The farm was developed in two phases. Two 4MW wind turbines were installed and operated smoothly in 2017 for the demonstrated phase 1, and the phase 2 involved another 20 monopile foundations and 20 Siemens Gamesa 6MW wind turbines of the 120MW wind farm. The installation has been started on May 18th, 2019.

Formosa 1 offshore wind farm is owned by partnership of Ørsted (35%), JERA (25%), Macquarie Capital (25%), and Swancor Renewable Energy Co. Ltd. (15%).
