Affected by soaring prices on iron ore, coal and freight cost, the prices of finished steel products are expected to be going up rapidly in Europe in 2008. The prices of iron ore and freight cost will be increased by 15~50 percent and €50~70/mt respectively.

In addition, ArcelorMittal announce that they are going to increase the tinplate price by €50/mt in the next few months. It is estimated that the level of price rise for most steel products will be higher in 2008.
