According to the 12th package of sanctions, the European Union (EU) proposed to ban the imports of iron and steel products from Russia, including copper, aluminum wire, foil, and pipes. Besides, the EU will also implement import restrictions on pig iron and liquefied propane from Russia.

In addition, the sanction is expected to prohibit the exports of European machine tools and parts for equipment used by the Russian industry to produce weapons for Russia. The import ban also included Russia’s diamond imports, even if it was processed in a third country.

The accurate time of the sanctions is still uncertain, but it is expected to happen in mid-December or by the end of the year at the latest.
