Eurasian Natural Resources Corporation PLC (ENRC), the holding company of a leading diversified natural resources group based in Kazakhstan, has announced that they won a tender for building a railway line between Kazakhstan and China.

The US$900 million project will be the largest ever private investment in Kazakhstan's transport infrastructure. A 300 kilometers single-track railroad will be built between Zhetigen and Khorgos.

The volume of cargo transported between Kazakhstan and China is expected to reach 48 million tons in 2020, while it was around 19 million tons this year.
