The Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) has launched an anti-dumping (AD) investigation on graphite electrodes with a diameter of 520-650mm imported from China.

The investigation targets graphitized electrodes for furnaces with a circular cross-section diameter of 520-650 mm or a cross-sectional area of more than 2,700 cm2 but not exceeding 3,300 cm2 and falls under EAEU HS code 8545 11 002 0.

The investigation was initiated based on a complaint by El 6, a company that accounts for 100% of the production of such products in the EAEU from January 2021 to September 2024.

In addition, the EAEU started the imposition of a five-year AD duty on graphite electrodes with a diameter of no more than 520 mm from China in 2022.
