Taiwan’s CSC Solar Corporation, a subsidiary of China Steel Corporation (CSC), announced yesterday (March 26) that it has secured land-use rights from Dragon Steel, another CSC group company. The leased land, located in Longjing District, Taichung, will be used for a solar power system, supporting CSC Solar’s solar energy business development.

The leased area spans 10,377 square meters and is part of a 50-year lease held by Dragon Steel from Taiwan International Ports Corporation. The initial monthly rent is NT$30,513 (excluding VAT), with a 1% annual reduction over the 20-year lease term. The total transaction amount for land-use rights is approximately NT$5.33 million.

CSC Solar will make payments semi-annually, beginning from the official grid connection date, anticipated to be December 30, 2025, and continuing until December 29, 2045.
