Commercial Metals International AG, the subsidiary of Commercial Metals Company (CMC), will be one of two bidders to acquire Valjaonica Cijevi Sisak (SISAK) from the Croatian Privatization Fund.

SISAK is an electric furnace steel pipe mill with about 70,000 metric tons melting capacity and about 300,000 metric tons of tubular production capacity a year.

CMC will pay about US$46.5 million totally for the bid and expects to invest US$62.1 million more for future plant expansions.

CMC is optimized to the bid, as SISAK is currently CMC's one of major tube suppliers for the markets of Central and Eastern Europe.
